Our Elements

We believe that every person deserves jewelry that are fashionable, durable, affordable and of the highest quality.  This is why we at JWLRY LAB offer jewelry made with sterling silver and, when not available, stainless steel as our base materials.

Our gold jewelry is plated 18-karat gold and our black jewelry is gunmetal plated. The majority of our silver jewelry are plated in platinum or rhodium for further protection and increased durability.

Please note that our jewelry is lead and nickel-free and is not manufactured using brass, copper or alloy as the main materials as these are of lesser quality and tend to tarnish, discolor easily and may turn your skin green.

Cubic Zirconia (CZ) Stones

CZ is a lab-synthesized stone that is used as a diamond stimulant being incredibly durable and dispersive.

CZ stones are rated from A (lowest quality) to AAAAA (highest quality) scale grade, ours being primarily AAA grade and above.

Freshwater Pearls

Freshwater pearls come from mussels that mature in non-saline water from lakes, rivers or ponds.

Freshwater pearls are rated from A (lowest quality) to AAA (highest quality) scale grade, ours being primarily AAA grade.

Plating

Plating, also referred to as dipping, flashing, or electroplating, are all the same process of creating a layer over the base material of jewelry allowing for its extended lifetime.

The base of our jewelry is sterling silver or stainless steel and is plated using either rhodium, platinum, 18k gold or black gun metal.

Rhodium and platinum plating is applied to our pieces as it prevents tarnishing, increases durability and is hypoallergenic.

Vermeil Gold

Gold vermeil is a high-quality form of gold plating in which a layer of gold is coated on sterling silver.  The layer is 2.5 microns thick and usually between 14k to 22k gold and is 5 times thicker than gold plating.
